I am a Registered Massage Therapist at Pacific Wellness Institute, and I graduated from the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy in 2011. I decided to pursue Massage Therapy as a career because achieving pain relief, relaxation, and healing with something as simple as using my hands, was intriguing. I believe manual therapy is a safer, and more effective approach comparing to some general medications. I have to express my sincerest thanks to some individual instructors from CCMH, for it was them who pushed, and supported me to become the Massage Therapist I am today.
I currently work at two physiotherapy clinics, giving me experience working with clientele from motor vehicle accidents, workplace injuries, and sports-related injuries. I have worked on athletes at various marathons and sports events such as this year’s Regional CrossFit Games and the Goodlife Fitness Toronto Marathon. I have volunteered for charity events like CIBC’s 12-hour overnight Run For The Cure, and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Also, I’ve worked alongside my instructors in the E.W. Bickel Centre treating patients with acquired brain injuries, and in palliative care.
I strongly believe that a combination of different therapies can truly benefit an individual’s health and wellness both physically and mentally. Having a treatment plan, or working on general maintenance can heavily improve one’s quality of life. You may feel that you have higher energy, a decrease in general stress, and more mobility for muscles and joints.
