A study entitled “Effects of acupuncture treatment on natural killer cell activity, pulse rate, and pain reduction for older adults: an uncontrolled, observational study” was published in the Journal of Integrative Medicine.

This preliminary study examined the effect of acupuncture on immune function among the older adult population.
