The Pacific Wellness Institute Welcomes Cora Nieuwenhuis, Registered Massage Therapist.
Early in life I became fascinated with the human body. Witnessing first-hand how we are capable of healing from extraordinary circumstances lead me to pursue a career in Massage Therapy. I started my journey after graduation from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy 3000 hour RMT program in British Columbia, to date one of the most in depth training programs to be offered in Canada. After a few years of working in various health care facilities, and opportunity arose to move our east and experience life as a RMT in Toronto.
I practice a holistic approach to Massage Therapy, meaning I view the body not only from a physical aspect, but have great respect for our emotional body when we are pursuing optimal health and well-being. Approaching each appointment with an open mind lends a unique quality to every treatment. As not two people are the same, we also are aware that our own body transforms daily, there-for each session is altered to accommodate your body’s individual needs at that time. I utilize a variety of techniques to manipulate connective tissue, musculature, ligaments, joints, organs and even the nervous system in order to re-establish balance in each person, thereby allowing our natural healing abilities to be reinstated and bring us closer to health.
I am pleased to be working at The Pacific Wellness Institute as the name and the people continuously reminds me of the wonderful place where I began my journey.
I am excited to be able to share my experience and passion for massage therapy with you as I continue my adventure in the big city.
